Comments on the geologic information

  • SYSTEM OF QUARTZ FISSUREVEINS LESS THAN 1 FT. TO 3FEET. PRINCIPAL VEIN HAS MAXIMUM WIDTH OF 1 FOOT AND STRIKES N20W. THE SULFIDES ARE PARTLY REPLACED BY SUPERGENE ARGENTITE, COVELLITE, CHALCOCITE, AND COMPLEX MIXTURES OF CERUSSITE, MALACHITE, AZURITE, AND SB AND MN OXIDES. THE RHYOLITE PORPHYRY INTRUSIVE NEAR THE MINE IS CONSIDERED TO BE THE SOURCE OF THE MINERALIZATION.

Comments on the workings information

  • ONE MAIN ADIT, SEVERAL SUBSIDIARY ADITS. MAIN ADIT IS PARTIALLY CAVED.

Comments on development

  • WORKED ON A SMALL SCALE SINCE THE 1860'S. REMAINS OF OLD MILL ON PROPERTY WITH MODERATE AMOUNT OF CYANIDE TAILINGS. MATERIAL NOW IN ORE BIN MUST HAVE BEEN -BROUGHT IN FROM ELSEWHERE TO BE MILLED; IT COULD NOT HAVE COME- FROM MARIGOLD MINE, SO CAUTION SHOULD BE USED IN SAMPLING THE- PROPERTY SINCE MILL WAS OBVIOUSLY USED TO RUN ORE FROM OTHER -PROPERTIES. NO ACTIVITY IN 1984; LONG IDLE.
