Deposit BRINE FLOWING ALONG TOP OF SALADO FORMATION IS EXPELLED BY SEEPS AND SPRINGS INTO PECOS RIVER. IN 1963 IT WAS PUMPED FROM HOLES THROUGH A PIPELINE INTO A DEPRESSION AND ALLOWED TO EVAPORATE.
