| Deposit | AU-BEARING GRAVELS WERE LESS THAN 2 FT THICK AND RESTED ON CEMENTED GRAVELS. NUGGETS WERE COMMONLY UP TO 0.75 OZ IN SIZE; ONE WAS REPORTED TO BE 4 OZS IN SIZE. THE SOURCE OF THE GOLD IS BELIEVED TO BE AU-QUARTZ-CARBONATE-SULFIDE VEINS IN PRECAMBRIAN ROCKS. GOLD IS RELATIVELY COARSE. |
