  • 200' TRENCH CUT ALONG FORMER STREAM BED, EXPOSING BRECCIATED SILICEOUS DOLOMITE FOR 1001; HOWEVER ONLY THE UPPER 4' OF THE ORE BEARING BED WAS EXPOSED. DOWNSTREAM 150 FEET THE ORE BEARING BED RESURFACES AGAIN, AND A SMALL PIT 3-4 FEET DEEP WAS MADE EXPOSURES WERE OBSERVED OF VEINLETS OF SPHALERITE WITH CALCITE FROM 1/4 TO 4 INCHES THICK.

  • STROM WAS DIVERTED FROM ITS ORIGINAL CHANNEL. NOT WORKED SINCE 1890. STEAM CRUSHING PLANT THAT WAS HERE WAS MOVED TO THE MARKLEMINE. ORE WAS CONCENTRATED BY HAND JIGS.
