| Relative position | This placer gold mine is reported to be on a bench near the mouth of Chicago Creek (Mendenhall, 1902). Chicago Creek is an east tributary to Kugruk river. The mouth of Chicago Creek on Kugruk River is 4,000 feet downstream of the Chicago Creek coal mine. This site is approximately located and is only known within one mile. It is locality 62 of Cobb (1972; MF 417; 1975; OFR 75-429). |
