Deposit ABOUT 8% OF THE PRODUCTION HAS COME FROM PLACER MINING IN THE ALLUVIUM - THE "SPUD PATCH" IS MOST FAMOUS AREA. MANY ATTEMPTS - MOSTLY UNSUCCESSFUL - TO RECOVER THIS SCHEELITE PLUS MINOR GOLD IN PLACERS.
