General comments

Subject category Comment text
Deposit GOLD IS CONTAINED WITHIN THE GROUND MORRAINE OR TILL THAT FLOORS THE BASIN; THIS MATERIAL IS SEEMINGLY GOLD BEARING THROUGHOUT; PIECES ARE USUALLY FLATTENED BUT ROUGH AND IRREGULAR IN SHAPE AND MANY PIECES HAVE QUARTZ ADHERING TO OR EMBEDDED IN THEM, DENOTING THAT THE METAL IS OF COMPARATIVELY LOCAL DERIVATION.
Deposit OWING TO THE EXTREME INDURATION OF THE MATERIAL AND THE STICKINESS OF THE MATRIX, DIFFICULTIES ARE ENCOUNTERED IN EXTRACTING THE AU. THIS PROBLEM ALTHOUGH COMMON THROUGHOUT THE NINE MILE DISTRICT IS MOST TROUBLESOME ALONG KENNEDY CREEK. ; INFO.SRC : 1 PUB LIT
