Comments on the workings information

Comments on development

  • MINE WAS WORKED SOMETIME BETWEEN 1880 AND 1908. MOST OF THE MINING OCCURRED IN THE BED OF THE CREEK. NO PRODUCTION FIGURES ARE AVAILABLE. A GRINDING PLANT WHICH WAS OPERATED DURING THE FIRST BARITE MINING IN TAZEWELL COUNTY, WAS LOCATED NEAR THIS MINE.
