| Deposit | BLACK PRINCE FISSURE, FILLED WITH ALTERED MN-STAINED ORE. HEMATITE-STAINED QUARTZ NODULES, OXIDIZED PYRITE, PYROLUSITE, SLIGHTLY MAGNETIC NODULES OF WAD, SOME CARRYING CRYSTALLINE CALCITE VEINLETS, SLIGHT SILICIFICATION. OPALINE SILICA COATS FRACTURE SURFACES AND FILLS VUGS. A MINOR SHEAR ZONE IS EXPOSED AT SHAFT. LIMESTONE ON DUMP IS PINK (FE OXIDE-STAINED ? RHODOCHROSITE?), BANDED, WITH CRYSTALLINE CALCITE VEINLETS, AND NODULES OF PLATY CALCITE WHICH CEMENT BRECCIA. VALUES INCREASE WITH DEPTH. 1981 DRILL HOLE DATA YIELD AN AVERAGE TRUE THICKNESS OF 12.4 FT FOR THE BLACK PRINCE VEIN AT 3.4 OZ/T AG. THE VEIN IS RELATIVELY CONTINOUS ALONG STRIKE FOR 2600 FT. |
