Comments on the geologic information

  • MINE DEVELOPED ON QUARTZ-STIBNITE VEINS VARYING 3 TO40 INCHES IN WIDTH. STIBNITE OCCURS AS SMALL PADS AND STREAKS,, AND AS INDIVIDUAL CRYSTALS AND BLEBS IN THE QUARTZ. TETRAHEDRITE, PYRITE AND SPHALERITE ARE ASSOCIATED WITH THE PODS AND STREAKS OF STIBNITE. THE LARGER AND HIGHER GRADE ORE BODIES ARE IN THE RHYOLITE WITH SIZE AND GRADE OF DEPOSIT DECREASING UPWARD INTO THE PRIDA FORMATION AND DOWNWARD INTO THE RHYOLITE PYROCLASTIC ROCKS. RHYOLITE WALL ROCK HAS BEEN ALTERED ADJACENT TO THE VEINS. PYRITE COMMONLY ALTERED TO LIMONITE; TETRAHEDRITE PARTIALLY CONVERTED TO MALACHITE AND AZURITE.
