Comments on the geologic information

  • THE OREBODY IS A FISSURE VEIN OF BANDED QUARTZ AND SULFIDES WHICH STRIKES N70E, AND DIPS 70N. THE COUNTRY ROCK IS A COARSE GRANODIORITE COMPOSED OF OLIGOCLASE, ANDESINE, QUARTZ, HORNBLENDE, AND BIOTITE. (EMMONS 1910). IT INTRUDES CHERT, SHALE, QUARTZITE, AND MINOR CARBONATE UNITS OF THE SILICEOUS WESTERN ASSEMBLAGE PALEOTAC ROCKS, WHICH HAVE BEEN THRUSTED INTO THEIR PRESENT POSITION DURING THE ANTLER OROGENY IN DEVONIAN TIME
