Deposit Discovery Year: 1880'S
Deposit FAULT ZONE/VEIN WITH ASSOCIATED VEINS AND STRINGERS STRIKING N4-70W, DIPPING 45E. ORE REMOVED FROM THESE VEINS IS GENERALLY SILICEOUS AG-PB WITH THE PB OCCURING AS CARBONATE. THE REMAINING DUMPS CONSIST MAINLY OF MASSIVE WHITE TO ROSE-COLORED QUARTZITE BRECCIA STAINED WITH FE-MNOXIDES AND COATED WITH CRYSTALLINE JAROSITE. CLOTS OF MANGANDSIDERITE/ PSILOMELANE PARTIALLY CEMENT THE BRECCIA. YELLOW SB? OXIDES AND AN UNKNOWN GREEN MINERAL (ANGLESITE?) OCCUR WITH THE ORE. LOCALLY THE BRECCIA AND FAULT GOUGE ARE SILICIFIED.
