  • ACCORDING TO CAREAGA, 1974, THE ENTIRE STATE OF GUERRERO PRODUCED NO HG IN 1970 AND ONLY 5 TONS IN 1971. FROM THIS IT IS INFERRED THAT HUITZUCO IS NOT VERY ACTIVE.

  • MINED OUT.
  • IN 1895 LA CRUZ MINE REACHED ITS PRESENT 877 FT DEPTH. THE SAN ANDRES LEVEL WAS MINED OUT BY 1910 AND ITS ORE BODY WAS 330 X 150 X 125 FT. AFTER A PERIOD OF INACTIVITY, THE MINE WAS WORKED FROM 1935 TO AT LEAST 1945. IT WAS APPARENTLY ACTIVE IN 1964 BUT HAS NOT SINCE BEEN MENTIONED IN THE LITERATURE. A 1959 DOCUMENT MENTIONS A NEW PLANT AT LA MARINA MINE IN 1956, BUT GIVES NO LOCATION.
