  • WORKED BEFORE 1900. SERIES OF PITS 750 FEET LONG NORTH TO SOUTH PARALLEL TO SEASHORE. GRANITE DARK REDDISH GRAY IN COLOR; OF EVEN GRAINED MEDIUM TEXTURE WITH SOME FELDSPARS BEING 3 INCHES IN SIZE. NUMEROUS GNEISS INCLUSIONS UP TO 36 FEET LONG AND 12 FEET WIDE.
