Deposit METEOR (COMET) OPENED IN 1890, SHIPPED 1890-1894 AND 1899-1904. OPERATED BY CORRIGAN MCKINNEY STEEL CO. CASTILE OPENED 1906, SHIPPED EVERY YEAR THROUGH 1923 EXCEPT 1908 AND 1921. CASTILE, AND LATER THE CASTILE - METEOR, WAS OPERATED BY CASTILE MINING CO. (OGLEBAY, NORTON AND CO., AGENT). WORKED BY SLICING AND CAVING METHOD, UNDERGROUND. SHIPMENT IN 1929 WAS FROM METEOR STOCKPILE. THE CASTILE WAS LEASED IN 1941, AND THE METEOR IN 1943 BY SUNDAY LAKE IRON CO., AND HAVE SINCE BEEN INCLUDED IN THE SUNDAY LAKE PROPERTY (SEE SEPARATE REPORT, SAME FILE).
