  • IN 1982 FOUR PITS AND ONE OPENCUT WERE SEEN. IRON BEARING DOLOMITE OUTCROPS IN THE OPENCUT. LIMONITE MASSES WERE OBSERVED IN THE MINE AREA, MOSTLY AS FLOAT MATERIAL. NO MANGANESE ORE WAS SEEN.

Deposit THE ORE OCCUR AS LOOSE TEXTURED, POROUS MASSES IN CHERT AND CLAY DERIVED FROM THE WEATHERING OF THE DOLOMITE. THE ORE WAS IRON OXIDE WITH A CORE OF PYRITE.
