  • OLD SHAFT REOPENED IN 1872 TO DEPTH OF 27 FEET ALONG WITH A NEW SHAFT 50' TO WEST. ABOUT 100 TONS OF ORE WAS REMOVED. 4 NEW SHAFTS WERE SUNK IN 1880 FURTHER EAST RAISING 100 TONS OF ORE; ONE SHAFT NOW VISABLE 30' DIAMETER X 12' DEEP WHICH PROBABLY HIT WATER LEVEL

  • OLD MINE OF PRE-REVOLUTIONARY WAR DAYS WAS REOPENED IN 1872, IT WAS SOON ABANDONED AND REOPENED IN 1880 BUT CLOSED IN THE SAME YEAR
