HIGH AND 2.5 FT. WIDE WAS WORKED FORM THIS TUNNEL. SOUTH END OF OLD GOLD BUG NO.1 CLAIM, 2500 FT. S OF DESCRIBED WORKINGS, CONSISTED OF SHORT TUNNELS AND 40-FT. INCLINE. ON 20-FT. LEVEL, 30 FT. DRIFT TO NORTH, AND 30 FT. TO SOUTH. BELOW SOUTH DRIFT, STOPE 20-FT. LONG BY 2.5 FT. WIDE. BOTTOM OF STOPE TAPPED BY RAISE FROM BOTTOM OF INCLINE, MILLSITE.

Deposit INTERLACING VEIN SYSTEM, ONE SERIES WITH SOUTHWEST DIP, OTHER WITH EASTERLY DIP THAT INTERSECTS MAIN VEIN AS EXPOSED IN FACE OF CLIFF. THIRD SERIES OF SUBORDINATE FRACTURES STRIKE NW DIP STEEPLY SE AND FORM JUNCTIONS WITH MAIN VEIN FROM FOOTWALL SIDE, BUT DO NOT CROSS VEIN INTO HANGING WALL. MAIN VEIN TRACED FOR 0.5 MI. TO SOUTH FROM FACE OF CLIFF, VARIES FROM FEW IN.-3.5 FT. IN THICKNESS. FAINT TRACE OF COPPER SULFATE STAINING SEEN ON MOST OF ORE. HIGHEST GRADE ORE IN BANDS OF HEMATITE AND WHITE TO IRON-STAINED POROUS QUARTZ IN HEMATITE. ORE WAS GENERALLY HIGH-GRADE.
