Comments on the geologic information

  • ; APATITE, QUARTZ; PHOSPHORITES AS GREY OR GREY-BROWN POORLY STRATIFIED HORIZONS NEAR THE BASE OF THE LEI-PO SUITE, WHICH OVERLIES TIENYING DOLOMITES. WEATHERING AND LEACHING PROCESSES HAVE IN MANY CASES CAUSED CONCENTRATION OF PHOSPHATE. UNWEATHERED ORE: 23-28 % P2O5; 37-42 % CAO; 13-19 % SIO2; 7-8.3 % CO2. WEATHERED ORE: 29-39 % P2O5; 39-50 % CAO; 1.5-5.7 % SIO2; 0.9-1.2 % CO2 TIENYING FORMATION = DENGYING FORMATION
  • ; GRNR; LMON; WEATHERED SERPENTINITE AVERAGES 1.5% NI, 6.9% FE, 45.4% SIO2. NICKEL-RICH GARNIERITE HAS FORMED ALONG JOINT CRACK-S OR IN THE INTERSTICES OF WEATHERED PYROXENITE AT OR NEAR THE- SURFACE. IN MANY SURFACE EXPOSURES, GARNIERITE HAS BEEN ENTI-RELY LEACHED OR PARTLY REPLACED BY OPALINE QUARTZ OR CHRYSOPRA-SE (GREEN OPAL). MINERALIZED ZONE AVERAGES 900 M LENGTH, 400 -M WIDTH.
