Comments on the workings information

  • IN 1988, THE REALITO BODY WAS BEING WORKED AT THE 250 M LEVEL USING A CUT AND FILL METHOD. RHYOLITE FROM A NEARBY OPEN PIT IS USED AS THE MINE FILL. IT IS NECESSARY TO PUMP UP TO 1600 GALLONS PER MINUTE OF WATER OUT OF THE MINE (THIS REPRESENTS ABOUT 30% OF THE TOTAL MINING COST). THE WATER IS FROM RIO SANTA MARIA.

THE COMPANY IS PRESENTLY WORKING THE REALITO BODY. SMALL, INTRUSIVE, STONGLY KAOLINIZED, AND PYRITE-OXIDIZED RHYOLITE OUTCROPS ARE VISIBLE AMONG THE LIMESTONES IN THIS AREA.
