| Deposit | SCHEELITE IN CALC-AMPHIBOLE LAYERS WITHIN A METAMORPHIC ROCK SEQUENCE. MINED ZONE ABOUT 2 M THICK AND CONSTITUTES A STRATABOUND ACCUMULATION OF SCHEELITE THAT IS BOUNDED ON TOP AND BOTTOM BY BARREN PELITIC ROCKS. TUNGSTEN MINERALIZATION FORMS A SERIES OF IRREGULAR LENSES ERRATICALLY DISTRIBUTED HORIZONTALLY AND VERTICALLY. AMPHIBOLITE ZONE MINED ADJACENT TO NE ARM OF GILMORE DOME STOCK, GRANITE SURROUNDS DEPOSIT AND ON THE BASIS OF MAGNETOMETER SURVEY, PROBABLY IS 600-1,000 FT. BELOW SURFACE. THE EASTERN LIMB OF DEPOSIT APPEARS TO HAVE MOST OF THE MINERALIZATION. |
