DEPOSIT LIES ON BRANCH OF HURRICANE HILL FAULT SYSTEM KNOWN AS ASCENSION FAULT, WHICH TRENDS N 62 W, 66 TO 85 NE AND IS ACTUALLY COMPOSED OF SEVERAL SUBPARALLEL ANASTAMOSING FAULT SURFACES. ASCENSION FAULT FORMS V-SHAPED BLOCK WITH SECOND FAULT TO NE TRENDING LESS NW, BOTH SHOWING RIGHT-LATERAL DISPLACEMENT. PITCHBLENDE OCCURS AS COLLOFORM COATINGS ON QUARTZ- AND CARBONATE-CEMENTED BRECCIA FRAGMENTS IN HANGING WALL OF ASCENSION FAULT AND AS THIN STRINGERS ON SUBSIDIARY FAULTS AND FRACTURES.
