  • SUPERIOR AND GLOBE PUT DOWN A 900 FT SHAFT WHILE EXPLORING FOR COPPER AND SILVER. THE MANGANESE ORE THAT WAS SHIPPED WAS SORTED FROM THE MATERIAL BROKEN IN AN OPEN CUT, 30X8X8 FT. SOME EXPLORATORY STRIPPING OF TALUS OVERBURDEN HAD BEEN DONE SOUTHWEST OF THE OPEN CUT

  • COPPER TRUST GROUP OF CLAIMS ORIGINALLY OWNED, ALONG WITH THE MAGNET AND KENO, BY THE SUPERIOR AND GLOBE COPPER MINING CO. WHO UNSUCCESSFULLY EXPLORED FOR COPPER UP TO 1910. IT WAS SOLD IN 1920'S OR 1930'S ALONG WITH THE MAGNET AND KENO TO F.A.BENNET, THEN RESOLD IN 1953 TO F.A. SITTON.
