BEDROCK IS CALAVERAS SCHIST. GRAVEL WELL-ROUNDED, SMALL (60% MINUS 1/2-IN.) SEMI-CEMENTED, CONTAINS SOME BLUE CLAY. 386' INCLINED SHAFT; 650' NE DRIFT DRIVEN UPSTREAM FROM NEAR THE END OF A 1700' DRIFT N OF THE SHAFT. 15 MEN EMPLOYED FOR TWO SHIFTS(1935)
