Comments on the geologic information

  • GEOL.DESC: 10 CLAIMS. THE ANDALUSITE OCCURS IN A STEEP EAST FACING CLIFF COMPOSED LARGELY OF QUARTZITE, WITH THE ORE ZONE CONSISTING OF A STEEPLY DIPPING VEIN ABOUT 30' WIDE AND 2 MILES LONG. MOST OF THE ORE AVERAGES ABOUT 40% ANDALUSITE WITH LENSES OF 60% ANDALUSITE OCCURRING AT IRREGULAR INTERVALS. ONLY THE HIGHER GRADE ORE WAS MINED.
