FISSURES OCCUR IN RHYOLITE AND RHYOLITE BRECCIA. ZONES CEMENTED BY MANGANESE OXIDE HAVE A WIDTH OF 2 TO 3 FT., A LENGTH OF 30 TO 100 FT, AND MAY BE 20 FT. THICK. THE OXIDE IS PARTLY HARD, BOTRYOIDAL PSILOMELANE AND PARTLY SOFT BLACK OXIDE.
