  • GEOL.DESC: THIN BED OF LAMINATED BLACK OXIDE, LYING BETWEEN A MASSIVE BED OF YELLOW CHERT ON THE WEST, AND THIN BEDDED CHERT ON THE EAST. THIN BEDDED CHERTS AND SHALES STRIKE N 25 TO 30 W, AND DIP 78 E. A CROSS FAULT OFFSETS THE CHERT BEDS 50 FT, AND MANGANESE OCCURS AS THIN COATINGS AND SEAMS ALONG THE FAULT PLANE.
