Comments on the workings information

  • WORKINGS ARE SCATTERED THROUGHOUT THE CANYON; MOST ARE OF RELATIVELY SMALL EXTENT. LOW SLOPES WITHIN CANYON HAVE BEEN DRILLED AND SCRAPED (SURFACE EXPLORATION). SAMPLE WORKINGS CONSIST OF ONE N-TRENDING ADIT AND ONE SHALLOW (4-5 FT DEEP) PROSPECT 20 FT W. OF ADIT.

Comments on development

  • PROPERTY APPEARS TO HAVE BEEN DRILLED 3-5 YRS AGO. AREA PROBABLY STILL INTERMITTENTLY ACTIVE ON SMALL SCALE-I.E. REWORKING OF DUMPS, ETC.CANYON HAS SEVERAL OLD SHACKS- EVIDENTLY THIS WAS MAIN SITE OLD MINING TOWN.

Deposit BRECCIATED ALTERED FAULT ZONE WITH SLICKEN SIDES AND CALCITE-CHLORITE-EPIDOTE GOUGE DEPOSITED ALONG THE FRACTURE. WITHIN THE ZONE, LIMESTONE BRECCIA FRAGMENTS ARE CEMENTED BY WHITE CALCITE OR CUT THROUGH BY RADIATING VEINLETS OF CALCITE. AN E-W FAULT ZONE (PART OF AND INTERSECTING THE N30E ZONE) WAS ALSO OBSERVED. NEAR THE PORTAL OF THE ADIT, THE E-W FAULT ZONE IS MARKED BY SLIGHT SILICIFICATION OF THE WALLROCKS AND RECRYSTALLIZATION OF THE HOST. THE ROCKS HAVE A LIGHT GREEN COLOR DUE TO THE SILICATION PROCESS. THE SILICATED LIMESTONE IS GREENISH (EPIDOTE) , MOTTED, AND IS ASSOCIATED WITH GOSSAN AND ABUNDANT FE AN MN OXIDES. SAMPLE 1763 CONSISTS OF LIMONITIC AND HEMATITIC GOSSAN WITH CLOTS OF GALENA, CHALCOPYRITE (OXIDIZED), MALACHITE AND POSSIBLY SPHALERITE(?). THE GOSSAN HAS FINE OPALINE COATINGS. CALC-SILICATE AND RECRYSTALLIZED LIMESTONE FROM THE DUMP IS MARLY, LIGHT COLORED AND CONTAINS IRREGULAR LENSES OF CALCITE AND ABUNDANT CLAY AND FE AN MN OXIDES COATINGS. THE ROCKS ARE
Deposit DENSE AND MAY CONTAIN FINE-GRAINED SULFIDES. WHEN LAMPED, THE ROCKS SHOWED SCATTERED MINUTE FLECKS OF SCHEELITE.
