  • PRODUCTION PRIOR TO 1966: 4,174 OZ. OF GOLD AND 631 OZ. OF SILVER (USBMAFOC FILES). ROY MIETTIENEN WORKED ALDER CR. WITH A DOZER (CARNES, 1975). VALUES ON ALDER CR. ARE IN OR NEAR THE CREEK CHANNEL. GRAVEL DEPTH AVERAGED 4 FT. NUGGETS VALUED AT $19, $8.50, AND $7 (IN 1910) WERE FOUND (B480). SOME GOLD IS ROUGH AND OTHER SPECIMENS ARE WELL WORN. THE DEPOSITS SEEM TO BE IRREGULARLY DISTRIBUTED (B542).
