Comments on the production information

  • ALL PRODUCTION FIGURES ARE APPROXIMATIONS. OPERATING DAYS PER YEAR IS ASSUMED TO BE 250. MINING JOURNAL RESEARCH SERVICES REPORT THAT THE SPACI MINING COMPLEX EXPLOITS FIVE DEPOSITS AND PRODUCES 370,000 TONS OF COPPER ORE PER YEAR. OF PARTICULAR IMPORTANCE TO FOREIGN INVESTORS, THE JOURNAL REPORTS, IS THE DEGREE OF LABOR INTENSIVE WORK INVOLVED IN THE MINING AND THE PROCESSING OF THE ORE. THE CONDITIONS AT THE MINE WARRANT IMMEDIATE MECHANISATION OF ALL SURFACE AND SUB-SURFACE OPERATIONS. THIS WILL MARKEDLY INCREASE PRODUCTION, RESERVES, AND MINE REVENUE. MINING JOURNAL RESEARCH SERVICES REPORT NOTHING ON THE GRADE OF ORE MINED AT THE SPACI MINE, NOR DOES THE JOURNAL MENTION ANYTHING ABOUT THE OTHER MINES IN THE REPS MINING GROUP.
  • PRODUCT OUTPUT REPRESENTS COPPER AND PYRITE CONCENTRATES.

Comments on the reserve resource information

  • THE ADIT GRADE IS A WEIGHTED AVERAGE OF COPPER GRADES FROM THE FOUR MINES. THE ACTUAL INDIVIDUAL COPPER GRADES OF EACH RESOURCE ARE: GURCH, 2%; THURR, .9%; SPAC, .8%; LAJO, .6%.

Comments on other economic factors

  • CU CONCENTRATE GRADE IS APPROXIMATELY 16% CU. THE PYRITE CONCENTRATE GRADE IS APPROXIMATELY 45% SULPHUR. THE RECOVERY RATE FOR COPPER IS APPROXIMATELY 88%. 12,000 METRIC TONS PER YEAR OF CONCENTRATE AND 6,000 METRIC TONS PER YEAR OF ORE ARE SENT TO THE RUBIK SMELTER. 6,000 METRIC TONS PER YEAR OF CONCENTRATE IS SENT TO THE LAC SMELTER. PYRITE CONCENTRATE IS SENT TO THE LAC SMELTER AS WELL. BGR REPORTED THE CAPACITY OF THE REPS CONCENTRATION PLANT TO BE 300,000 METRIC TONS PER YEAR. THEY ALSO REPORTED CONCENTRATE OUTPUT CAPACITY TO BE 23,500 METRIC TONS PER YEAR, WITH A RECOVERY RATE OF 80% WITH A GRADE OF 12.5% CU. MILLING CAPACITY IS REPORTED TO BE 320,000 METRIC TONS PER YEAR BY CRU. THE CONCENTRATION PLANT PRODUCES 18,000 METRIC TONS OF COPPER CONCENTRATE AND 25,000 METRIC TONS OF PYRITE CONCENTRATE PER YEAR.
  • UNDERGROUND MINE WORKINGS ARE ACCESSED BY ADITS AND VERTICAL SHAFTS. MINING CAPACITY IS REPORTED TO BE 320,000 METRIC TONS PER YEAR BY CRU.
