Deposit A WATER FILLED OPENING ABOUT 50 FT LONG AND 8 TO 12 FT WIDE N 45 DEG E AND IS SURROUNDED BY DUMP MATERIAL NEARBY ARE SEV SMALL PROSPECT PITS THE MINE WORKED ABOUT 1870 IS REPORTED TO BE 75 FT DEEP SMALL PIECES OF MASSIVE AND DISSEMINATED CHROMITE FOUND IN D A DUMP SAMPLE OF MASSIVE ORE REPORTEDLY ASSAYED 49 PCT CR2O3 19 PCT FEO MAKING THE CR FE RATIO ABOUT 2.3:1.0 NO SILICA CO IS GIVEN COMES CLOSEST TO CHEMICAL GRADE ORE. DATE OF COMMENTS 1975.
