Deposit LOCATION IS ON THE EAST LIMB OF THE CEDAR CREEK SYNCLINE, PHOSPHORIA FM ATTITUDE: N90W,61W. BASAL 3 FT OF PHOSPHORITE IN THE RETORT MEMBER CONTAINS 26.3% P2O5. THE NEXT 16 FT OF ROCK AVERAGES 14.3% P2O5, AND INCLUDES MANY THIN BEDS THAT CONTAIN MORE THAN 20.0% P2O5; ONLY THE UPPER 3FT OF THIS SEQUENCE AVERAGE AS MUCH AS 180% P2O5. SAMPLE LOT 1256 FROM USGS PROF PAPER 313-E IS LOCATED HERE.
