However, political location shown is Whatcom county. Mindat.org lists another Slate Creek district mine 9 miles NW in Whatcom county. Anacortes Mine 48?46'32"N , 120?49'29"W. MRDS shows several mines in the Slate Creek district about half that distance away and centered on upper Slate Creek. So the Geonames Slate Creek (center) location was used, 48 44N, 120 45W.
