Deposit A 5.6 ft. interval contains 68.6 to 71.7% B.P.I., and in this interval a 1.9 ft thick bed averages 71.7% B.P.I. There are other thin rich beds.
Deposit Coal Canyon area record in Bull. 50 says "The Meade Peak phosphatic shale member of the Phosphoria Formation is 143 ft thick and consists of dark then-bedded phosphorites and carbonate and quartz-silicate rocks. The average P2O5 content is 10.6%. Vanadium, selenium, and uranium are important minor constituents." (Bull. 50, p. 147).
