Deposit THIS SEQUENCE NUMBER INCLUDES ALL PROCESSING FACILITIES OPERATED AS PART OF THE SOKOLOVSK-SARBAYSK COMPLEX. THIS PLANT PROCESSES ORE FROM THE SOKOLOV(4590000002), SARBAI(4590000089), KACHAR(4590000012), AND KURHUNKUL DEPOSITS. TOTAL PLANT FEED IS 29,000,000 MT @ 35% FE(MINPROC) OR 27,000,000 MT @ 37.6% FE(IRON AND STEEL WORKS). CAPACITY ASSUMES 250 DAYS/YR PRODUCTION SCHEDULE. THE PLANT INPUT IS 29 MILLION MT ORE AND PELLET PRODUCTION IS 8 MILLION MT. IRON CONCENTRATES MAKE UP THE BALANCE. ORE IS CRUSHED FROM 1,200 MM TO 25 MM; THEN MAGNETIC DRY COBBING IS CONDUCTED. THE CONCENTRATE IS THEN GROUND TO 95%- 74 MM SIZE IN TWO STAGES. IN THE FIRST GRINDING STAGE, ROD MILLS ARE USED. 3.2-3.6M BY 5M BALL MILLS ARE USED IN THE SE- COND STAGE. MILLING CONSISTS OF SIXTEEN SECTIONS, EACH WITH THREE MILLS. EACH SECTION PROCESSES 230 TONS/HR. CONCENTRATION IS DONE BY FOUR STAGES OF WET MAGNETIC SE- PARATION IN 1M BY 3M ROLLS. CONCENTRATE IS FILTERED AND CON- VEYED TO THE PELLET PLANT. TAILINGS COVER 700 HA AND CONTAIN OVER 250 MMT @ 15-21% FE, 7-14% S, AND SIGNIFICANT AMOUNTS OF CO, NI, ZN, CU, & AG. A PROCESS FOR RECOVERING TAILINGS IS BEING CONSIDERED BY MINPROC.
