Comments on other economic factors

  • ORE IS CRUSHED UNDERGROUND AND THEN MOVED BY A BELT CONVEYOR TO A SURGE BIN. THE ORE IS THEN MOVED TO THE SURFACE MILL BY A SKIP HOIST. THE COPPER CONCENTRATES ARE SOLD TO BOLIDEN AND TO NORDDEUTSCHE AFFINENE. THE ZINC CONCENTRATES ARE SHIPPED TO THE EITREHEIM SMELTER AT ODDA, NORWAY.
  • U-SWE, U-WAS: UNKNOWN THE MAIN LEVELS (AT 60 METERS VERTICAL INTERVALS) AND INTERMEDIATE SUBLEVELS DEVELOPED FOR THE SUBLEVEL STOPING WHICH EXTRACTS MOST OF THE MINES OUTPUT ARE ACCESSED BY A 84 DEGREE INCLINED RAMP THAT, BY 1978, EXTENDED TO LEVEL 8, APPROXIMATELY 500 METERS BELOW SURFACE. THE MAXIMUM STRIKE LENGTH OF A STOPE IS 80 METERS, BUT 60 METERS IS AVERAGE. WHEREVER POSSIBLE, PILLARS ARE LOCATED IN AREAS OF LOW COPPER VALUES. A TRANSPORT DRIFT IS DEVELOPED ON STRIKE IN THE CENTER OF THE OREBODY, AND DRIFTS ARE DRIVEN ALONG NORTH AND SOUTH ORE/WASTE CONTACTS PARALLEL TO BUT SLIGHTLY ABOVE THIS DRIFT.
