MAGNESIUM AND TITANIUM RECOVERED AS A BYPRODUCT OF IRON SMELTING PLANT GRANTED EXPORT LICENSE THRU 2000 TO SHIP 500,000 MT FE ORE CONC. AND 300,000 MT APATITE CONC. AGREEMENT SIGNED IN 1991 BETWEEN KOVDOR AND TAKRAF AG TO PROVIDE 1 SPREADER, 6 BELT CONVEYORS, SEVERAL CRANES. HANDLING CAPACITY OF NEW FACILITIES IS 4800 MTPH, TO BE IN OPERATION BY 1995. THIS WILL EVENTUALLY ALLOW PLANT TO STRIP 20 MILLION MTPY. PLANT PROCESSED 4.3 MILLION MTPY IN 1992.
