  • THE AVERAGE TYPE OPERATION COVERS AN AREA OF 695 ACRES AND IS 60 FEET DEEP. ORE PRODUCTION PER OPERATION IS 29,840 TONNES PER MONTH. IN 1981, WITH THE INTERNATIONAL TIN COUNCIL PRODUCTION CUTBACKS, A FEW PROPERTIES BECAME UNECONOMIC AND CLOSED DOWN, LEAVING 28 PROPERTIES AS OF JANUARY 1, 1982. THE AVERAGE CONCENTRATE PRODUCTION FROM THESE WERE 2.55 TONNES OF SN02 CONCENTRATE PER MONTH.
