  • ESTIMATED AREA OF DEPOSIT IS 18000 HECTARES. DEPOSIT IS LEVEL (NEGL. DIP). THE TWO PRODUCING ORE BEDS ARE OF LOWER SANTORIAN AGE AND RANGE FROM 0.2-0.85M IN THICKNESS. THE PHOSPHATE OCCURS AS NODULES IN A SANDY MATRIX, WITH THE PHOSPHATE GRADE RANGING FROM 6-14% P2O5.

  • THE P2O5 PRODUCT CONCENTRATE HAS BEEN USED FOR DIRECT APPLICATION FERTILIZER AND FOR SUPERPHOSPHATE PRODUCTION. IT WAS REPORTED IN 1978 THAT CONSTRUCTION OF A 2.0 MILLION T/Y CONCENTRATION PLANT WAS STARTED. CONCENTRATES WOULD CONTAIN 24% P2O5, BUT WITH HIGH MAGNESIUM CONTENT.
