COPPER CONCENTRATE PRODUCTION GRADING 22 PERCENT COPPER, WITH 86 PERCENT RECOVERY, WAS 110,000 METRIC TONS IN 1985; 102,000 METRIC TONS IN 1986; 98,000 METRIC TONS IN 1987; AND 106,000 METRIC TONS IN 1988. CONCENTRATE IS SMELTED AT THE RTB BOR SMELTER. THERE ARE PLANS TO EVENTUALLY EXPAND THIS OPERATION. ORE IS LOADED BY P AND H 210 EXCAVATORS AND HAULED IN EUCLIDS. THE CONCENTRATOR HAS A CAPACITY OF 20,000 METRIC TONS OF ORE PER DAY, PROVIDED THAT THE CONCENTRATOR OPERATES FOR 350 DAYS PER YEAR AND WORKS 3 SHIFTS PER DAY. THIS INFORMATION IS FOR THE YEAR 1989.
