  • THIS IS SCHEDULED TO BE A DREDGING OPERATION ON THE SAPUCAI RIVER IN SOUTHERN MINAS GERAIS, STARTING IN THE FIRST HALF OF 1991. STRIP RATIO IS 0.57. RARE EARTH MINERAL IS MONAZITE, WITH 57% REO. PRODUCTION SHOULD BE 1,600 MTPY MONAZITE (912 MTPY REO), 42,000 MTPY ILMENITE, 4,900 MTPY ZIRCON, 2,200 MTPY GARNET, AND 100 KG/YR GOLD.
