  • THREE STAGES OF CRUSHING ARE FOLLOWED BY PRIMARY MILLING IN 18 CUBIC METER ROD MILLS, AND SECONDARY AND TERTIARY GRINDING IN SIMILAR SIZED BALL MILLS. THERE ARE PLANS TO INSTALL A CIRCUIT FOR THE TREATMENT OF POLYMETALLIC ORE FROM THE SHAUMIANOVSKOYE DEPOSIT. INSTALLATION IS DUE TO COMMENCE IN 1992.
  • IN 1991, ALL ORE WAS SUPPLIED BY THE KAFAN MINE WHICH IS 5 KILOMETERS FROM THE CONCENTRATOR. ALL COPPER CONCENTRATE IS EXPORTED FROM THE FORMER USSR.
