Comments on the geologic information

  • The Magma Mine at Superior:
Mineralization Associated With Diorite Porphyry Intrusive Period, Although Little Intrusive Rock Is Present Here. Major Intrusive Is 2 Miles N. At Silver King, Faults Are Premineralization, And Faults Continued To Move During The Short Period Between Porphyry Intrusion And Mineral Deposition. Ore Deposition Was Mesothermal, And Mineralogy And Occurrence Of Ore Is Similar To Deposits Of Butte, Montana. The Magma Is Not Similar To Nearby Porphyry Copper Deposits As There Is Little Disseminated Ore In Porphyry Host Rock, But The Age Of Mineralization Is The Same As Nearby Deposits Such As The Globe And Miami, Approximately 60 M.Y.
  • Although There Are No Surface Intrusives, Mineralization Is Associated With Cret-Paleo Intrusive And Faulting Episodes
