| Deposit | LAKE CREEK PLACER ON HOMESTEAD ENTRY SURVEY 426. VOLUME OF GRAVEL MATERIAL OF WHOLE DEPOSIT ESTIMATED TO BE ABOUT 2,700,000 M3. INSUFFICIENT DATA WERE OBTAINED TO ESTIMATE AMOUNTS OF GOLD PRESENT IN THE LAKE CREEK HIGH BENCH BECAUSE DEPTH TO BED- ROCK IS PROBABLY IN EXCESS OF 31 M AND DRILLING OR SHAFT SINKING WOULD BE REQUIRED FOR EVALUATION. MOST SAMPLES WERE SURFICAL AND REFLECT THE LEANER GRAVELS HIGHER IN THE SECTION. SOME RECONNAISSANCE SAMPLES SHOWED VALUES OF 0.020-0.186G/M3 |
