Deposit THE OHIO MINE IS MADE UP OF THE OLD OHIO MINE WHICH SHIPPED TONS OF SOFT AND HARD, REDDISH-YELLOW, HIGH PHOSPHOROUS ORE 1907-1920; AND THE OLD NORWOOD MINE WHICH SHIPPED 5,753 TONS FROM 1887-1888. AS OF 1951 THE CLEVELAND CLIFFS IRON CO. WAS OPING THESE PROPERTIES TOGETHER WITH THE BEAUFORT AND WEBSTE TO BEGIN PRODUCTION FROM OPEN PITS IN 1952. ORE FROM THE OHI WOOD, BEAUFORT,AND WEBSTER MINES WAS TO BE BENEFICIATED IN T FIRST HEAVEY-MEDIA PLANT TO BE OPERATED ON THE MARQUETTE RAN THE PLANT, ALSO SCHEDULED FOR COMPLETION IN 1952 WAS TO BE L ON THE OHIO MINE PROPERTY. NO FURTHER INFORMATION IS AVAILAB
