Deposit THE PLANT APPARENTLY PRODUCES A HEAVY MEDIA PRODUCT, PART OF WHICH IS GROUND AND USED TO FEED AN ONSITE PELLET PLANT. UNTIL RECENTLY, THE REMAINDER, ALONG WITH FINE JIG CONCENTRATES WERE RAILED TO MONCLOVA FOR PELLETIZING. APPARENTLY, THERE IS NOW A NEW SLURRY LINE(88KM) TO TRANSPORT THE CONS TO THE HERCULES MINE WHERE THEY JOIN THE HERCULES CONS IN ANOTHER SLURRY LINE(308KM) TO MONCLOVA. THE LATEST REPORT (11/81) INDICATES THE NEW LINE WILL TAKE 1,500,000MT/YR; THE ONSITE PELLETIZER (BUILT IN 1975) WOULD REQUIRE ANOTHER 400,000MT/YR. THE PELLET PLANT IS A NEW DESIGN AND HAS NEVER REACHED MORE THAN 66PCT OF ITS CAPACITY. THE COMPANY IS REPORTEDLY PLANNING ON UPGRADING ITS MILL TO A COMBINATION FLOTATION/MAGNETIC PLANT AT SOMTIME IN THE FUTURE. DATA RELATING TO THE OREBODY CONFIGURATION, TYPE OF DEPOSIT, ROCKS, MINERALS, ETC. ARE GENERALLY NOT AVAILABLE FOR SPECIFIC DEPOSITS.
