THIS PROPERTY FILE 2010210005 "EL MONTE & EL CARRIZAL" COVERS THE SAME MINES IN THE CARRIZAL- ZIMAPAN AREA. THE COMMENTS BELOW ARE INCORRECT AND IN NEED OF UPDATING BY THE CURRENT COMMODITY SPECIALIST FOR THIS PORPERTY FILE. CURRENT DATA FOR THIS PROPERTY IS AVAILABLE FORM BIBLI. REFF. "R" RECORDS, 1 TO 3. THERE ARE OVER 20 KNOWN MINES IN THE EL MONTE AREA, MOST CLOSED AND IN DISREPAIR. CURRENT PRODUCTION OF 350 MT/DAY COMES FROM SEVERAL OPERATIONS. THE MOST IMPORTANT IS THE MIGUEL HIDALGO MINE. THERE ARE OVER 20 KNOWN MINES IN THE CARRIZAL MINING AREA. MOST CLOSED AND IN DISREPAIR. CURRENT PRODUCTION OF 200 MT/DAY COMES FROM THE LOS BALCONES AND LOMO DE TORO MINES. 6/27/97--CONFIRMED AS PRODUCING BY JAVIER MOYA, US EMBASSY IN MEXICO. HE ALSO SAID THIS IS PRIMARILY A LEAD/ZINC MINE.
