Comments on the geologic information

  • THE ORE DEPOSITS WERE FORMED DURING THE END OF THE MIOCENE ERA, WITH HYDROTHERMAL SOLUTIONS BEING INTRUDED INTO COUNTRY ROCK. THE DEPOSITS CONSIST MAINLY OF GALENA AND SPHALERITE AND ARE ASSOCIATED WITH A SERIES OF NORTH-WEST TRENDING BREAKS IN A GNEISS COMPLEX. THE HYDROTHERMAL VEINS ARE ASSOCIATED WITH BREAKS AND HAVE AN AVERAGE DIP OF 80 DEGREES.

Comments on the production information

  • THE LEAD CONCENTRATE CONTAINS LEAD, SILVER, AND COPPER. THE ZINC CONCENTRATE CONTAINS ZINC, IRON, COPPER, LEAD, AND SULFUR.

Comments on the reserve resource information

  • NO INDIVIDUAL DEPOSIT RESOURCE INFORMATION IS AVAILABLE. CRU REPORTS THAT ANOTHER 8,630,000 MT OF PROBABLE ORE COULD POSSIBLY BE EXPLOITED.
  • COMMODITY GRADES ARE AVERAGE GRADES FOR ALL FIVE DEPOSITS IN THE GORUBSO DIVISION II.

Comments on other economic factors

  • ALL ORE FROM GRADISHTE, 20,000 MT/YR FROM STEFAN STEFANOV, AND 50,000 MT/YR FROM MARZJAN IS SENT TO RUDOZEM CONCENTRATOR - APPROXIMATELY 20% OF 1989 PRODUCTION FROM GORUBSO DIV II. LEAD AND ZINC CONCENTRATES FROM ERMA REKA ARE SENT TO THE KURDJAZI SMELTER; PYRITE CONCENTRATES ARE TREATED AT THE DIMITROVGRAD CHEMICAL WORKS. ALL LEAD CONCENTRATES AND SOME ZINC CONCENTRATES FROM RUDOZEM ARE SENT TO THE DIMITUR BLAGOEV SMELTER. THE REMAINING ZINC CONCENTRATES ARE SENT TO THE GEORGI DIMITROV SMELTER.
  • THE SHAFTS AT DIVISION II ARE THE DEEPEST OF THE GORUBSO GROUP, WITH THE DEEPEST SHAFT AT A DEPTH OF 650M. TEMPERATURES AT THIS DEPTH ARE BEGINNING TO BECOME A PROBLEM. CRU REPORTS THAT ALL MINES HAVE TWO SHAFTS. MOST OF THE ORE IS MINED USING SHRINKAGE STOPING, BUT SOME OF THE ORE IS RECOVERED BY SUB-LEVEL CAVING. CRU REPORTS THAT ALTHOUGH WASTE CAN BE AS HIGH AS 20%, OVERALL ORE RECOVERY IS 94%. WHEN NOT BEING USED TO HOIST PERSONNEL, THE SHAFT SKIPS CAN BE USED TO HOIST ORE. ORE IS ALSO HOISTED IN 1MT HOPPERS.
  • THE MILL RECORD REPRESENTS THE MILLING OPERATIONS AT ERMA REKA. ORE CONCENTRATED AT RUDOZEM IS CONCENTRATED IN ESSENTIALLY THE SAME WAY. ORE IS CRUSHED IN THREE STAGES, THEN MILLED IN TWO 2.7 AND 2.75 M LONG BALL MILLS. CONCENTRATED ORE IS THEN SENT THROUGH A 1.5 M SPIRAL CLASSIFIER. GROUND ORE (45% 80 MICRONS) IS FED TO DENVER 300 FLOTATION CELLS, WHERE LEAD IS RECOVERED. UNDERFLOW IS THICKENED, RE-GROUND, AND SENT TO SCAVENGER CELL, WHERE ZINC AND PYRITE SEPARATED. THICKENERS AND VACUUM DRUM FILTERS ARE USED FOR FINAL CONCENTRATE PREPARATION.
