Deposit INFORMATION FROM 1981 INDICATES THAT A PRODUCING OPER- ATION WAS LOCATED IN THE AREA OF THE OLD DIVIDE MINE. THIS ANALYSIS TREATS A SINGLE SECTION OF THE GREAT DYKE - THE "DIVIDE SECTION" - AS ONE MINING UNIT. IN REALITY, MORE THAN COMPANY MAY HOLD LEASES OVER THE SECTION DESCRIBED AND THERE COULD BE SIMULTANEOUS PRODUCTION BY WORK THAN ONE COMPANY FROM THE SECTION. TO ANALYZE THE GREAT DYKE FOR AVAILABILITY IT WAS NECESSARY TO ADDRESS THE SITUATION IN A LOGICAL, COM- PARTMENTALIZED FORMAT. HENCE, THE "DIVIDE SECTION" REFERS TO AN 8 KM SECTION COVERING THE EAST LIMB OF THE GREAT DYKE STRUCTURE FROM THE OLD DIVIDE MINE NORTHWARDS TO BRINSHAM.
