General comments

Subject category Comment text
Deposit INFORMATION FROM 1981 INDICATES THAT AFRICAN CHROME MINES WERE PRODUCING FROM AN OPERATING UNIT IN THE GLENAPP/ IVO AREA. THIS ANALYSIS TREATS A SINGLE SECTION OF THE GREAT DIVIDE -"THE GLENAPP/IVO SECTION" AS ONE MINEABLE UNIT . IN REALITY MORE THAN ONE COMPANY MAY HOLD THE LEASES FOR THE SECTION DESCRIBED AND THERE MAY BE MORE THAN ONE MINE OPERATING AT A GIVEN TIME. TO ANALYZE THE GREAT DYKE FOR AVAILABILITY IT WAS NECESSARY TO ADDRESS THE SITUATION IN A LOGICAL, COMPARTMENTALIZED FASHION. HENCE, THE "GLENAPP/ IVO SECTION" ANALYZED UNDER SEQ. NO. 7960100057 REFERS TO A 10 KM SECTION OF THE ENTIRE GREAT DYKE (BOTH LIMBS OF THE SYNCLINAL STRUCTURE) FROM LATITUDE S 17 DEG 0 MIN. NORTH TO THE IMPINGE FAULT.
